Remembering Poem by Lora Colon

Remembering

Rating: 5.0

You drifted through my mind today,
Haven't thought of you in a while;
I try not to dwell on what has passed,
Not much there to make me smile

You brought back memories of a time
We both agreed to forget;
But the reflection in my mirror smiles
And admits to no regret

Our love was an irreverent story
Neither of us could repeat;
Like a portrait someone tried to paint
But never did complete

I hope I wander through your mind,
Not often, just now and then;
Wouldn't want to linger there too long,
It might start feeling right again

cool ending. " irreverent story" ? ? i'd like to hear it. i'm pretty irreverent and also irrelevant in the greater picture of Mankind. to MyPoemList, though i have some question(s) about poem's meaning. bri :)

Hey, I know the feeling. Some love's great but too dangerous. Stay away.
