Remember
I remember when
my head used to spin
spinning like a top
now an abrupt stop
I remember when
I felt something
even if it was wrong
I remember when
days were busy and long
now looking at the clock
go tick tock
silence fills the air
nothingness before me
life seems so unfair
sitting here drinking defeat
I realize he has won
he has all the best to keep
and my life has none

In life, we have to make decisions. Some of these decisions are not easy. But some of them have to be made in order to survive. Life to me is a give-and-take some things we have to let go and some things we get to embrace...it is, to me, all about priorities. Yes that is exactly how the poem should read.
