Religion Traders Poem by Amitava Sur

Religion Traders

Rating: 5.0

===================
I don't understand nor realize
What religion we do believe or preach?
And what we follow, learn and speak about religion?
Why we all fight and quarrel in the name of religion?
Who are those roaming around -
Carrying daggers and swords in hand
They are frightening and torturing people
Shielding them under the banner of their religion! !

Raising their voice with the plea of religion
They instigate, instill hatred and kill the humans
So cruelly and dastardly they act -
That a demon also is afraid and shaken! !

They commit horrific murders,
Ruin Civilization,
Then justify them in the name of religion
And finally, they boast so madly by saying -
'We upkeep the religion'! !

Perverts are dancing with joy,
Raising their voice, knowing nothing in fact
Playing with innocent’s blood and life
With their dastard whims and might.

Lip singing and shouting around - about their religion,
They roam around with their bloody hands
With daggers and swords in hand!

WOW‘ what a great ‘RELIGION TRADERS’ they are on earth! !
Or else a bunch of TRAITORS around us! !

We commit horrific murders, Ruin Civilization, Justify them in the name of religion And finally we boast of saying - we upkeep the religion! ! ........Really it is going on in the name of religion. This should be stopped. It is a good message to the society. Very nicely and aptly envisioned. Many thanks respected sir.

True we have religion traders, traitors, exploiters and destroyers. No creators of love and peace towards each other. Your anger and frustration is heartfelt in these expressions.

Wow! Powerfully stated and truthful, there are so many people pretending to be God-loving, yet they use the word religion to cover their horrific deeds. Everyone sees them for what they are, murderers! Killing Dr. Avijit Roy was such a cowardly act, he was only stating the facts of these so-called religious fanatics. He was a hero in people's eyes, the world has lost a powerful voice to these horrible people! Thank you for such an expressive and relevant poem, Amitava. RoseAnn

Those who speak more about religion and fight for it, in fact, do not believe in that religion............10

I watch news from all over the world and see far too many horrors in the name of religion. While some areas have more horrors than others, no place, no people, no creed is innocent. There are too many ‘RELIGION TRADERS’ every where, 'a bunch of TRAITORS around us! ! ! ' A very true and powerful poem. Darla :)

There is so much of exploitation everywhere in the name of religion! Instead of it becoming a bridging factor, unfortunately it has become a distancing element! Religious fanaticism and extremism are taking alarming proportions that a number of atrocities are committed in the name of religion! Very relevant and powerful write, Amitava!
