Release Me Poem by Maggie Tong

Release Me

I'm caged by
your looks
Taunted by
your smiles
Frightened by
how you stood
Smashing my
dreams to piles...

Your eyes send daggers
into my soul
As your fingers pierced
against my spine
The heat of your breath
burns word into my ear
Transforming evil to good
and neglect as kind

Your face displays
an unholy smile
That drags darkness
behind

My fears in you are
brutally refined
I feel a tear and my
heart floods
You've reduced shy smiles
into tears of blood
