Reject 46 Poem by Mark Christmas

Reject 46

Your passing was whispered and then tolled by the gasps………
…………the sighs,
wishes on the breeze of a time when you were here.

So…………
we all arrived on a scene and set the stage
for all the events which will follow,
you take a small piece of us with you,
you leave part of you……. with us.

We sat,
the pieces of your jigsaw, you were the focus of a thousand minds,
legendary legacy.
Like the screens on a CCTV,
we all showed different perspectives
and time frames of your being.

Brushing the hearts and souls of those who swam……..
in the goldfish bowl of indifference,
where you would accept second place, to impart the smile
only Peter Pan could, into the memories
of the past.

Cheshire Cat grin,
we met with a smile………… turned work
into friendship for a time and again.
Philosophy was never in self deprecation
from you,
purely logical wisdom inherited,
then observed.
