Reigns And Elites

Rating: 4.5

The lies were worn in fake caps
Their smiles were born out of state debts
And thought that we survived slavery
But our lives were drowning in the deep seas of poverty

As days went on with months
Each night faded with no lights
As months ran towards those years
Water was scarce in all our painful spheres

I recall them shouting 'service delivery'
But the sun has set with no liberty
On such,
Questions and answers that are value less as much

Fit and proper but incompetent
Honesty and integrity but corruption
Skills and diligence but mismanagement
Manifesos and policies, but selfishness
