Reign Of Man Poem by Sharmeen Azam

Reign Of Man

Contrasts of ideology defines mankind.
Parables of war
if and when they unite.
How con(trite) the human mind,
glorious inventions can come
from that petty conscience.
Mysticism, spirituality, prayer
search and seek,
But do you know “where art thou? ”

You make love and war
go hand in hand,
You so blind, Oh! petty, petty man.
Paradoxes and conflictions,
cannot go hand in hand.
Ingeniousness of grandiose stupor,
will make you bite the dust -
sooner or later.
Infatuations with death and destructions,
will fulfill its ultimate obsession.

It’s cliché to say,
Time is of the essence.
As long as man reigns on earth,
stupidity and failure are our companions.
What say you humble servant
of a man?
Do you fear God,
or are you in love with your image on earth?
