Reflection Upon The Water’s Surface Poem by Joshua Mccoy

Reflection Upon The Water’s Surface

The smooth rocking waves carry
Hurt and sorrow away with a slight breeze.
It gleams with kisses from the sun and
Casts a shattered reflection of the moon.

Each wave, each ripple, stands out
And moves in a forever flowing path
Towards the rocks with fists that break on contact
And develop small swells which rise
And
Fall with the incoming tide

It rocks in waves
And melts with the flow
Old memories sink in and fade
New memories reach outward and grow
