Reflection Of A River Poem by Sarah Pesta

Reflection Of A River

A faint illuminating light brightens the waves
The soft current moving quiet and slow
Still enough to see what isn't shown
Through clear glass in a perfect form

As I walk to the banks of the river
Waves flattened and the flow was still
A small ripple expanded in the middle of the stream
Revealing myself and the truth I hold

The crystal clear water had shown me the truth
Blinding me from looking into lies
Waking my mind up from a world I couldn't see
My true life unlocked by the reflection of a river
