Redemption Poem by Sandra Feldman

Redemption

The only thing
I think,
That redeems us
As human beings,
Is Artistic Creation,
A sort of illumination,
All the rest is,
Huff, Puff and Bluff.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I'll bet you did not know that artists give off light, some are even electrifying and quite luminous. This goes for the stage and cinema artists and actors too.

I like your prose comment very much. I saw LIVE from the London stage ROMEO AND JULIET last night, yes, the HD broadcast was in real time. And you are so right about the luminous light shed by actors. The two principals were not ignorant but beautiful teenagers who don't have a clue about Shakespeare's meaning. They were older, experienced actors who did justice to the poetry and fully embraced the them of absolute love. You can see from my comment that I am still lit up with Artistic Creation 30 hours later. I'm redeemed!
