Redemption Poem by James Yarbrough

Redemption

Rating: 5.0

Swimming in darkness
Never finding light
I embrace the pain
I want to break free

Light in the distance
Something to cling to
Shelter from the storm
I want to break free

These chains that bind me
Holding me tightly
Dragging me to death
I want to break free

Then he reaches down
The darkness flees him
Clothed in bright light
I want to break free

Saved I reach out
To clutch my saviour
Pierced hands hold me
I want to break free

I really like this poem. I like the image of the pierced hands. Very very good. :) 10
