Red-Throated Humming Birds (A Poem Written In The Chinese Tang Dynasty Style) Poem by Eugene Levich

Red-Throated Humming Birds (A Poem Written In The Chinese Tang Dynasty Style)

Rating: 5.0

Red-throated humming-birds humming, humming
Pink or White Roses of Sharon gloriously blossoming
It is for delicious nectar these tiny birds thirst
On this delightfully warm September First

Blood-red is each flower deep in its heart
These Roses of Sharon sprouted their start
Years ago in a far-distant garden
And there wing my thoughts flying, flying

So Symbolic.! The beautiful roses, the red throated humming birds in this mysterious garden are the perfect setting for a broken heart. The words are mysterious and magical, strange yet imaginable. A different mode and sensation from western poetry. Am I right? In any case, excellently different.
