Red Rain Poem by Amanda Chisholm

Red Rain

All this bleeding is running through
All this red rain is staying true

Visions of our memories come to mind
Now I realize it was a waste of time
I’ll never know what could have been
All of this is wearing very thin

Don’t know what to do
Lost inside of you

All this bleeding is running through
All this red rain is staying true
It is the ghost of a severed vein
The coals that burn inside my heart all day

Now that you left I can finally breathe
But I always see you in my dreams
This haunting from you is not a cure
It’s getting better think it’s getting worse

Don’t know what to do
Lost inside of you

All this bleeding is running through
All this red rain is staying true
It is the ghost of a severed vein
The coals that burn inside my heart all day

Can all this blood I’m seething
Heal the wounds inside
Can this flood I’m conceiving
Wash away tonight
Crimson pouring clouds
Fill my scars everyday

All this bleeding is running through
All this red rain is staying true

All this bleeding is running through
All this red rain is staying true
It is the ghost of a severed vein
The coals that burn inside my heart all day
