Reconciliations Poem by David Harris

Reconciliations

Families can be a difficult thing
to sometimes come to terms with.
There will always be disagreements
that sometimes linger on and on.
Falling outs often happen and people
refuse to talk to one another.
The sadness festers with these things
where no one wants to give a little.
One day something happens
and estranged feelings have to be put aside.
Reconciliation will be slow
and done over a matter of time.
It has to happen one day
to give everyone a little peace of mind.
Families should be united
not fighting an internal war.
Reconciliation needs to happen
or the strain will hurt everyone,
not only those involved.
Best settle any differences
before they go too far.
Families should be united
standing together against all the odds.
