Recasting Poem by Susan Lacovara

Recasting

Rating: 5.0

Should I have stayed
One moment more
In the dissatisfying darkness
Of a closed door

Would it have helped
To re-explore
The unanswered questions
Like an unfinished chore

Or best to break
From clinging claw
To rise above
The here no more

Gather every final flaw
And cast again another lure
