Rebirth Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Rebirth

Rebirth

"I won't care from today."
It is an empty bluff.

Working with displaced, beaten by power
Regardless of who, is hard, hard, hard

It is an abrasive, wears, peels
The soul, the bone, the spine

And then
Tired, worn, breathless, sleepless

You say:
"I won't care from today."

But then nightmares
Kids on fire, women raped, and...

"Damn it; I can't! "
You say.

Better die out of this humanity
Then a rebirth; as grass blade...
