You and me
Rebels without a clue
We see hurt and harm
But know not what to do

We are realistically cynical
We refute societies lies
Ours is an honest view of the world
We see with open eyes

I am conscientious objector
Numbed by a bleeding heart
My conviction lacks courage
I am a shallow pained upstart

Could I be avenger
A superhero with pen
Challenging cruelty and injustice
Lambasting evil men

Would I soldier
Stand up in the count
Confront ideological enemies
And hold them to account

Dare I be heretic
Shout a carrion call
Throw all at adversity
Till I or they do fall

The odds are stacked
It is imposable to do
We are eloquent irreverence
