Reality Knocks Poem by Dave Alan Walker

Reality Knocks

Rating: 5.0

Reality hits
like a sledgehammer of hate
right between the eyes

Sometimes we hide
from what we already know
but the truth must be
better than lies

When reality knocks
be on your guard

Reality knocks quite often here, and each time it seems to knock harder, The truth must be better than lies, but sometimes hard to take, great poem Dave,

short but weighty, when we drift too far from reality, we tend to find it hard to return to it, so we should always be 'on our guard'...hope for the best but expect the worst. Brilliant poem Dave.

You have hit the nail on the head with this poem about reality. Hard or soft knocks, we have to learn to take it and it forms our experience. Hopefully when we know what we don't know, will be one more step towards gaining wisdom. Thanks for sharing!
