' Reality Check...' Poem by Shondrika Anderson Williams

The minute a life is given it can be taken away.
The seond you open your eyes, you could be in your last day.
No one but God knows what ones future has in store.
No one, but no one can say, they know something for sure.
Everyone knows God works in mysterious ways.
No one but Him alone knows the price it pays.
We're all given a time to live and also a time to die.
So try your best to get right with Him as the time goes by.
Many experience different dramas, trials, and tribulations.
Just remember that through it all, He's with you during all the complications.
No matter how big or small, how right or how wrong.
He'll always stand beside you big and strong.
God's love flows in many different directions.
Remember He's the creator of all our affections.
Whether you think you hate someone or act as if you don't care.
God knows your heart, He knows the feelings you may not share.
He gave His life for us all and didn't question Himself why.
He just did what had to be done, He knew He had to die.
Although some of you may think life is just a game.
You should take God serious and know He's not just a name.
God is real and it's time to wake up and face reality.
He may not come to us in many forms, some of which the naked eye can't see.
Just as He paid the price for us all to live.
Love is one of His most amazing gifts, one we all must give.
A time to live, a time to die, only He can make that choice.
All things happen for a reason, some of which we may cry and others we may rejoice.
God's message was and always will be love.
Whether or not you believe in Him, His love will still reign from above.
This has been a reality check for you and I.
Give God your heart before you say your final goodbye.
