Corruption can’t make me embarrassed
Police, army and torture can stop for today,
Rape and murder news can’t paralyze me
Abusive reports I won’t have to read for a day.

Today you are not a man, woman or gay
But only a human being: genderless,
Feel the inner soul within your body
And feel that your mind is painless.

You and me celebrate independence day,
We celebrate the day with individual style,
We forget our agonies of past for a day,
To decorate each face with independent smile.
