Read, Read, Read The Book

Is Heaven's calling around you?
Do you think God's not real?
You'll need The Living Christ in view
Before you'd think to kneel

So similar have many, thoughts
Throughout the world today
But after reading Christ's reports
They've turned Salvation's Way

Seeing, believing God's Word's alive
True in every part
Changing one's life, able to thrive
Changing one's wayward heart

I wouldn't have thought it myself
Never could understand
Until from off some other's shelf
God's book I took to hand

God's book it truly is my friend
Believed from age to age
Truth beginning, truth to the end
In every living page

Alive! Alive, Lord God alive
Different, yet the same
For pulling down, raising to thrive
Revealing Jesus' name

Jesus The Christ is everywhere
The old book and the new
God's living truth for all to share
More clear than morning dew

Think of yourself, cause doubt to fall
Cause vanity take flight
When through the book, give God a call
Pray for life's guiding Light.....
