Today I have glanced through Whitaker's
Edition printed in nineteen eighty-two
Giving reams of important information...
It's amazing what a modern world can do.

There are pictures of good times and bad times
A magnifying glass told me true, that my
'know-how' of professional activity was lacking
I'll never be one of the learned few.

But now I am glancing through the Almanack
Edition printed in two thousand and five...
I've always shown interest in Whitaker's compilation
For I must keep a modicum of knowledge alive.
