Re-Evaluate
Dare to love,
dare to live.
The fear of letting go
this place of limbo
for indecision can be
a place never to linger,
to feel emotionally blackmailed.
Could I find the strength,
to let go
Could I ever attract
new possibilities
into my life.
Those missed opportunities
not taken advantage of.
Maybe it's time to re-evaluate
take a new direction.

A compelling writing, Annette. I always enjoy how effectively you share your inner conversations with the reading audience. We feel as if we are not just observing, but part of the process. The reader, too, is drawn into this sense of discomfort of a transitional place, the space of limbo, the space where we cannot dwell but the next step is often not obvious. We feel the tension. We feel compelled to choose, to act, to urge you on.... Nicely done! :) S

I love this poem and its message! In fact, I ten it! ! !
I agree with all four of the previous comments. A very thought-provoking poem indeed.
It's good to re-assess your life now and again. I have found friends, people I've not yet met, have helped me these last few months to look at the future more positively. I hope you will find the same. It's a very thoughtful poem.

Effective poem, Annette. Limbo is not a nice place to be. You might enjoy my poem About Change. Laurie
