Raven Moon Poem by Samantha Campbell

Raven Moon

Beneath the
Raven Moon

Ill make you dance
to the rhythm of my lines

Make you wonder
what have I written

Penned with my
sob-throat-ed beat

Words do not mask
the sorrow of not knowing

Fey and forthwith
they flood me

So I am trying to cover
my sadness with words

Sometimes I wish
I could hide behind them
FOREVERMORE

But not even
this titanium flesh
can stand castle strong
against speechless ink stains

So I'm in search of
answers to questions
that find their foundation
at the root of me

But Its clear that I don't
have Keats quill

Nor Poe's eerie banter
in thralled with never more

No raven in my veins to absorb pain

No green fairy dancing on the page
in distilling verses of the golden age

(Ink-Nebriation)

And never have my veins
absorbed the absinthe
that instils the most
ravishing verses
times over
and beyond
the dimension
of forever

And literally lyrically
leap bound's of profound
complex concept's

Releasing euphoric undertone's
of unspoken wave length's

Dancing in the latest
gravitational fashion

Waiting for
the expansion
of lungs under ribs

Waiting for
sonic booming
heartbeats

Cause there are
countless particles
making up the poetic vastness
of your breathy unwake
