.Rat Race

Waking up with morning sunrays
To the reality of material ways,
Ready with anxiety and prayers
To face, world’s covert plays;

Everything beyond the life’s pace
Running to stay in the rat race
Timeless chase on humanity’s face
To reach the top in vacant space;

Racing from daylight to night,
Trying to set the goal right,
With lost emotions & fake hype,
To seek and reach goal beyond sight;
To seek and reach goal beyond sight;

I liked the rhythm of the second verse and I thought the ending was fine. It
was a good theme and it was clear in meaning. That is why I recommend it.
The rhythm was not consistent, and the rhyme was not the best. But overall,
I felt it was a deserving poem.
