Rainpictures On Glass Canvass Poem by Frank James Ryan Jr...fjr

Rainpictures On Glass Canvass

They came by th' dreary lines of hard rain,
Listening to th' clamor 'tween th' torrents
On winded wings striking defenseless sod.
Yet, thru' each window pane, veiled in fog
Appears a bright world of strange artistry;

Clear water images streaking clouded glass
Like an abstract, surrealistic faux-pas finish,
Streetlights, like spotlite...on a fresh Picabia.
Master strokes all born from heavens storm,
Lines connect, then criss-cross quite madly.

They say, 'a picture paints a thousand words'';
If true, then God's raindrops be th' paradigm;
Natures canvass lucent...primed and readied-
For tommorows artists rainyday dazzlement.

An' from his window sil a small child marvels
Fingers pressed against his bedroom window.
For, this day be no day... to folly at the bog,
As his smiles worth at least a thousand words.
Shining through a glassed myriad of image.
