Raining All The Time Poem by Aiden Florence

Raining All The Time

The rain’s coming down so hard tonight
Just like the night he died
You consume your pills
Only to collapse and die

Chronicles come back
To haunt you one last time
As you cross the border
Between this world and the next

He’s asking you directions
You’re answering questions
Next thing you know you loved him
Now he’s taking your life with him

Night falls
Rain strikes
A lover dies
Welcome to the funeral of hatred and acrimony
Family’s holding memorial service to deteriorate
The pain you feel in the abhorrence of your lover’s death

You can’t take it any more
Yet the rain keeps coming back
You hate the rain so much
But here it comes again

Let the rain epitomize the odium in your tragedy
Ever since he died, it’s been raining all the time
