Raining Again Poem by Phil Soar

Raining Again

The ground is really sodden
The rain keeps pouring down
I really have forgotten
How I would get to town
The roads are blocked, the rivers burst
And houses flooded too
It makes me feel like asking god
"Whatever did we do? "
If he exists and loves us so
Why does the rain keep falling?
It might just stop me going to church
As this treatment is appalling
Are we the victims of his wrath
For how we treat this planet
It seems we're on a downward path
It can't be his plan, can it?
