Raindrops On My Roof Poem by laura zeng

Raindrops On My Roof

Raindrops and hail tap a beat on my roof
tapping a rhythm, like a running horse's hoof
dancing some jigs, like those of a goof

A large hailstone came down with a crash
thunder rumbled and lightning flashed
up in the sky, drum and mallet clashed.

Raindrops and hail tap a beat on my roof
good thing my ceiling is always rainproof
