Rainbow Tears Poem by Walter C. Edwards

Rainbow Tears

Rainbow eyes full of misery,
Why is this meant to be,
Not just for me,
But anyone filled with pain,
Once again,
Where is my pot of gold,
That I was told,
Was going to greet me,
As my reward for being,
So good,
It was a sham,
A game that was just rigged,
From the start,
Now until the bitter end,
Just take me away,
And please no more rainbow tears.
