Rainbow Dance Poem by Danette Frenz

Rainbow Dance

The past does not last,
It went by so fast.
I’m sorry I hurt you,
This pain all so new.
I’ve hurt too many,
Quite a few, quite a plenty.
Maybe I’m hurting so deep
Causing me to then weep.
Do you believe in second chances?
When one dances?
Live in the moment,
Let go of the torment.
You were that rainbow,
I was in tow.
A second rainbow that shimmered,
Pain that then simmered.
One can’t unwind,
The past, put behind.
It got stronger and brighter with the sun,
One day, with hopes that it will not run…
But won.
Thank you for being near
And oh such a dear.
Because of you, I have less to fear.
