Rainbow Amongst The Clouds Poem by Marilyn Lott

Rainbow Amongst The Clouds

Rating: 4.5

Don’t you enjoy a rainbow?
On a soggy kind of day
The air so sweet and fresh
You wish that it would forever stay

You look right over yonder
And there are colors to delight
Makes you smile to see them
Natures way to make things right

Purple, pink, yellow and green
All splash across the sky
How in the world does it happen?
Such beauty to the naked eye

A pot of gold, they say?
Now there’s a delicious find
Of course we can always dream
Yes, colors of the purest kind

A wonderful kind of look
After a summer rain
Sparkles up the sky I think
After dark this beauty remains

So when that rain comes pouring
And the sky darkens like a shroud
You’ll want to grab your camera, folks
Snap the rainbow amongst the clouds!
