Rain Poem by TP Sage

Rain

Rating: 5.0

If I'm standing in the rain
that's where i want to be.
Can you see me?
Glistening on your skin.
Trickling from your hair.
Why did you turn away
from me?
Just one more touch
like raindrops on my skin.
It's getting cold.
You'd laugh at me if you saw me
soaked and standing there.
I feel it.
I don't need more loss
raining in my eyes all day.
Everyday.
I need to hear you whisper,
To lose myself in the quiet of your eyes.
You turned away from me.
I'm not what I appear to be
I'm not how you think of me.
I'm more.
There must be more.
If you cut me
I bleed just like you.
Mostly, I do.
I'm by myself on my ledge.
It's not that far to the ground.
Maybe everything will look different
When I get down.
If I'm alone,
It's because I choose to be.
Why can't you see?
Are there raindrops in your eyes
just like me?
