Rain Poem by Georgia Hindmarch

Rain

Rating: 5.0

The rain continues to
Tap, tap, tap
Along my window in the night
We talk about
How much we love it
This spring storm
Watering the grass
Ready for the sudden bloom
Of brightly coloured flowers
I say
'I hate the sunshine'
And you say
'I love a good storm'
I sit and listen and watch
The tiny droplets
Race each other
Down the glass
And wait for
Another message from you
'Almost as much as I love you? '
I write in the box
Before deleting it all
I turn my attention back
To the pitter-pattering
Of the rain
And wonder
If you feel the same
