Rain Poem by Harold F. Gregg, Jr

Rain

As I lay in my bed one night
A storm approached and came in sight
The lightning cracked and lit the sky
And the thunder rolled in the Heavens high

The wind howled and howled against the pane
Then all at once it started to rain
I went to the window to have a look
The street below was like a brook

The farmer needs each precious drop
To grow and yield a healthy crop
Sometimes we're not thankful for the rain
For it causes floods and very much pain

So when you go walking and it starts to pour
Just put up your umbrella and keep on your tour
And always remember and never forget
If it wasn't for rain, we wouldn't exist
