Rain Poem by john wake

Rain

Rating: 3.8

Rain drips and drops
Slowly, spilling, sipping
To the earth from thunderous
Clouds. Could be millions
Or billions making this descent, trip
And fall freely on you lips

Rain drips and drops
Soaking the earths skin
From few puddles
to many muddy muddles

Rain drips and drops
Covers, coats the ground
In a water blanket
That suffocate soils, killing crops
Eroding whatever is on top.
