Race Comes Down To Race Poem by Ray Lucero

Race Comes Down To Race

Rating: 5.0

This Country prides itself on racial diversity
After many hard fought years for civil rights
Truth is there is still prejudice and antipathy
Race comes down to race for biased plebiscite

(Vote for the best man, not the color his skin)

Scarlett, If there is one thing that decides the presidency...it will be race, as not all people are as fair minded and as intelligent as you. Peace, Ray

I think your poem says it all, and the last line is not really necessary at all. I think the meaning of the poem is clear, so the last line is just your personal add-on, and maybe distracting as well? The poem is good, all by itself! !
