Quiet Spring Night Poem by Ariel Miles

Quiet Spring Night

I call it
Quiet Spring Night
Even though It's in the winter time
& times are hard
heater's broken
hot water off because the pipes are frozan
I shiver
Big Blue Blanket
keeps me
warm
memories
of me holding teddy
hot
chocolate
cake on birthdays
I get the biggest
peice/peace
not in here
loud music
bumps through thin walls of aprtment
& bass kncoks make
same walls vibrate
damn
it's spring time
no more
heat, electricity, lights, and cable's
out
of place,
yea that's where everything
is
this gonna be one of those nights?
No dinnerr
don't eat meat
cats eat more
and live bettaw purr
had to make it rhyme some way
to get my point across
i yell
I can't take these quiet spring nights
