Quiet Reverie Poem by Gillena Cox

Quiet Reverie

Rating: 3.5

Windchimes
sway with the breeze
the sound of chirpping birds
soaring high my soul on wings of
delight
full of rain clouds
this vast expanse of azure
canopies my still aching heart
today
portrayed here before me
wideeyed i find myself looking
aghast
of all days when
the mountain's verdant peaks
relect a spirit of newness
i gasp
at this greatness
friezed in wonder
afresh anew again
a flutter of my windblown skirt
jolts me
out of quiet
reverie to actual
record once more and tooting horns
roadside

Nice writing, and sounds like a gorgeous landscape indeed.
