Quiet Country Night Poem by Nicole GravellPellerino

Quiet Country Night

Sitting here peacefully
on my squeaking wooden chairs
gazing out in to the clear star filled night sky
and the endless corn fields
the sound of crickets chirping
in the back round
soothes my soul

Everything is silent
quiet peaceful and serene
on this cool summer night
Just the three of us
me and my little family
soaking in the fresh air

the gentle July winds
the beautiful star lit sky
and the full moon shinning bright
across endless hay field
brings a sense of tranquility over me

The smell of fresh cut grass
is still present
as we fall asleep beneath the stars
wrapped in blankets and each others arms

How I wish this could last forever
Long summer night
no worries or cares in the word

just a simple peaceful
escape from reality
