Quiet Confidence Poem by Scott Stanley Davis

Quiet Confidence

I wanted to write a poem of someone, but it had to wait because I wanted to communicate it and get it straight; I did not wish to underrate it, but to demonstrate that I wanted to create it: Her name I know well, for it was the name of my daughters best friend, as they're played on their playground merry go round. Quiet confidence is her essence as it flows effortlessly from her luminescence: This is something that is seen every day, not from crowded streets in downtown Monterrey; She is able to see goodness in many others, as she speaks in a pleasant and peaceful way as many Mother's, She see's beyond the present and into future, and not being afraid of change for her, is just as a supplement; I looked up her name to see what it meant, and what I found made me so proud to be in her the crowd of people she has expound. (to defend with argument) Shannon is her name and Little wise owl is what it was meant to say, (A wise little owl lived in an oak, The more she saw the less she spoke, The less she spoke the more she heard, so can't we all be like that wise little bird) ? And as I looked for the best words to say, I am glad I said them in this very way, for now I have a better understanding of who she is, and hope to follow her and be such a whiz as she is.
