Quest Poem by Amitava Sur

Quest:
==========================
With the crime and cruelty as the call of the day
I get exhausted in today’s thorny world.
Cruelty shadowing the wisdom and truth -
I find the peace of mind is departing the soul.

Searching a quiet place in the dead of night -
Where - no quarrel, no jealousy and there is no fight,
Only the fairies from the Holy land -
Will be rhyming around my bed side.

I'd like to be lost in deep sleep in that world
Where exists only - tranquility and peace,
Surrounded by deities and fairies -
In that place, with wisdom and peace.

I would feel like a holy man -
Where there is no desire and no pain.
Everybody is happy there
Which is quiet and serene.

A quest for the perfect world is ongoing, in the dead of night it seems probable, but with the morning light the possibility disappears from sight. Desiring to fall asleep in a land of deities and fairies searching for wisdom and peace escapes us yet we desire the place that gives no pain or suffering only peace, quietly serene. Wonderfully said. You are an artist who paints in poetical words. Thank you. RoseAnn

The blessings of a good nights sleep can put us into a state of bliss. Whether it comes with a dream or not we are still apt to wake up in a world that is full of turmoil and disarray. We have to play our part to make it a better place to live in. Good.

That would definitely be a state of bliss! But unfortunately, we are able to land in such a place of peace in our dreams, perhaps! As long as we are here in this world, we have to face the turmoil of living! A poem of fertile imagination!
