Queer Things Of Life Poem by DEEPAK KUMAR PATTANAYAK

Queer Things Of Life

Queer things of life
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Wavelets floating;
Clouds embracing
And stars shining
In folds of love
To each other they are clinging
I gave him love for love
Deep within, I don’t know when
He became so intimate a man
Saw for months every day
Could not imagine existence
Without him even a day
At last it came- the day
He stood apart
And from my eyes veiled his heart
He was glowing like the flames of sun
In my soul, in my heart
But when I went to catch the light
I tumbled and fell
Only to find the company
Seeking me no more
And his absence to me not a sore
Once necessary becoming unnecessary
Though life went on as usual
Without an iota of worry………..
