Quatrain 6 (Looks) Poem by Paul Sebastian

Quatrain 6 (Looks)

Fortune's poured for facial looks
That inevitably fades, ending in clay
Instead, invest more on character looks
Which even after passing, never grey

I'll be completely honest. When I saw the title LOOKS I knew the poem would say something to the effect that looks are ephemeral, looks are superficial, looks - you get my drift - and I was going to type in a passionate appeal that great art depends on those transient beauties, but having actually read your quatrain, I've lost that resolve and I agree with your drift, not mine! You've won a convert to your position.
