Quantum of Spirit

Destiny of a coal
Burnt in the air at last
So was I, just a moving dust
And times layered me underground
I'll be another coal buried in the sand
Lost to be found, deep than anyone knows
Along the pressure gained on me inside
Unearth me in darkness as my color
I was a big coal, still a coal
But just a little one now
Just a little one

Ordinary coal
Dark, fragile to the fire
So my spirit i had inside
Solitary as no transparency
Light must be wondering on me
As i wondering how bright it would be
Not a second it can go through my body
Not a chance i let it in, because in fire only i can shine
Will i be shined without burning at last... will I be shined

When pressure is the king
My heart is nothing but to follow
Each day comes adding life more heavier
Adding same to the pressure, more to endure
Weighing life when living under the mountain
My fragile coal body would be broken
Won't I'll be fixed like a written story
Life between chance and something risky
By little strength left i still have
My quantum of spirit has sown me
From a little pieces to big one
For any space i can grow
And the change i hold
Transitory of a coal

People hearts
Their emotions found new me
With desire stronger than mountain
As they do claim me to be in hands
I wasn't so great until the spirit shakes
It is the moment when dark me to turn clear
It is whenever i no longer keep afraid of light
I let light shine through me and it persuades their eyes
I said I own my coal life, now they say you're my diamond lust
Worth the risk i have taken to give a try once
Not for them i am for, to myself i am for
Because now i am not only a coal to burn
Not because the glittering shine around
But the beauty spirit that I own
Coal to diamond

Today i am shining again
I shine not because of burning
I now glittering because of love light
No longer my bed is under chimney
My honor is on the skin
Still to one who displays me
Don't wear me because of the shine that fool eyes
Because it won't give my value as i could be
Consume me because of who i am
For you will gain spirit when you fall
To remind i was a coal before diamond
My spirit to lay on you

Gleaming light in your eyes
Is how the shines steal your heart
But glass cut like diamond cant be me
Millions years I was a coal
So when I shine I know light secret better
But i wont with them in the fire
I not easily broken and diamond wont melt
Cut me still, cut me more
Scars me on the edges of my skin
I bleed with spectrum light amazement
Multifaceted shine embraced for more beautiful

Own me
Not for a shine
Stare me, your spirit to find
Like coal to diamond

Poet's Notes about The Poem

This is a story of a big burning coal become a dust...later be a chunk of a coal...buried in sand...Millions years sands be mountain. Time may hide and pressure coming but coal still coal...till the spirit inside, changed..change it to be diamond...
fool, greedy human may look diamond as luxury, while
ignorant people look it shine because of undigested beauty
It however a chance for a coal to live a new life as something else
It was used to be burned during winter now to keep forever. But now precious shine in the earth..Some appreciate as more than it is
The originality..
Even shaped glass bead can shine. It wont shine as diamond..It wont endure the pressure. Or melt in the burning fire but as coal learned, and revive as diamond. it renew, redefine self, grown mature after billions years in pressure. Even if you cut, it wont be broken easily
and more cut still make it more beautiful shine in all edges
You cant cut it, it can cut many..only diamond cut diamond
When you, me or someone having a pressure in life
we only have two choice, be the one who suffers as same person
or risk life for something new, that may change total life
be forever coal or a little diamond
find a lil space that have in you, i always believe
When we were born, we were given specialty in different ways
and if you could find and learn it best and you be the winner
more than a diamond...But like diamond, be original because
preciousness of diamond because of its originality
so it have more quality than any glass that try to fool.
So am i here believing each of you than a carbon copy
you are more than just a soul if you know how precious u are
And God not create you if you are not beauty and precious
And as you are here now...i know U are precious
Trust me, let shine together

A dark, impenetrable light is a coal..and dont say impossible if you not try..yes we can be more, clear and even hold the light beauty..like a diamond_SOul

I love the layout of this excellently penned write, indepth, it provides much food for thought to your reader. Your soul shines through your poem like the polished gem that it is - resplendent! Excellent use of imagery and word choice. My only complaint is the length of the poem, it is very long, so much to read and analyse, but that did not take from my pleasure in reading it. I enjoyed reading it very much and I thank you for sharing it. Blessings... (Report) Reply

Be it coal, be it diamond
Each a beauty on its own
    Coal for its fire
    Diamond for desire
With them we build an empire!

Nice write soul....a big 10. (Report) Reply

Once you were a chunk of coal buried deep. You let the fire go through you and now you have evolved into a diamond, sparkling and dispersing light! It requires enormous pain and mammoth levels of patience for this splendid transformation.
A great write! ! (Report) Reply

only diamond cut diamond ....gee, i'm not so smart! i thought there was a way diamonds could be cut using metal tools, but i find no evidence of that.

Last chance for life though live in risky

[ live in RISK? LIFE IS risky? ...... as with much of your writing, i have some trouble following it easily. therefore i don't look at your poems very much (it has been a long time) . ]

i especially enjoyed reading these four lines. but perhaps Scar instead of Scars, and for more BEAUTY instead of for more beautiful would be better.

it seems you have plenty of readers without me, but thanks for sharing. and thanks for the poet notes. :) bri
