Qibla Poem by Ahmad Shiddiqi

Qibla

Rating: 5.0

(dedicated to people who look for sincerity and purity)

Qibla is a direction
Qibla is a compass
Qibla is a choice
Qibla is Ka’bah

do we really need
a direction in our busy life?
or we really need a direct guidance
in our turbulence time?

do we really need
a passage in our dark path?
or we really need a clear light
in our bleakest moment?

Qibla is inside the holiest and purest place
Qibla is visited by all people from everywhere
Qibla is inside most secure and most sincere place
Qibla is dreamed by people who seek happiness

do we really need
a companion in our hardest way?
or we really need an intimate partner
in our most difficult decision?

do we really need
a religion in our daily activity?
or we really need a holy message
in our materialistic love?

Qibla is a centre of universe
Qibla is a union of human and nature
Qibla is where your heart faithfully bows
Qibla is when your soul freely accents

Allahu Akbar!
Allahu Akbar!
Allahu Akbar!
Allahu Akbar!

Qibla is a centre of universe Qibla is a union of human and nature Qibla is where your heart faithfully bows Qibla is when your soul freely accents Congrats to you for coming up with such insightful poem...I see that your work is more about reforms....Yes we all need direct guidance and sincerest companionship which our Qibla gives us....and this as said by Allah leads to true peace and contentment....those who miss out Ka'abah miss out true love and meaning of life...Allahu Akbar

Ahmad, quite a write! ! ! Introspection at its best. Are you questioning because there are those who question and step back from organized religion? I can't make a final judgment until I have the answer. It appears that you are celebrating a belief, yes? Anxious to get your reply. Carol
