Pure Absolution Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

Pure Absolution

How lovely the snow
that has fallen overnight
silently covering barren
ground frozen ridged
erasing the traces
of grudges and resentment...
hope and forgiveness
are being bridged

Whiteness calms
the early hours
as if blessing
with compassion and holiness
a growing inner light emits
a virgin-like radiance
encouraging a new beginning…
ending loneliness
