PUBLIUS OVID UNMASKED:

Learning began in shy literature
Available except the poetry of
Publius Ovid unmasking spirit
Approaching low over waters of
Baptism
We could not foresee Marvin Gaye
Smokey Robinson collaboration with
Miles’ sweetness of sound dying
Like distant winds hung round
When fear was almost laughter
Almost tears
None were but were to be –becoming
Gifts of laughter at comedies
And gifts of strength long after
Menes unmasked the sinking light
Divided from the night
Sinking suns dive into underworlds
To hang on conveyer belts to unmask
And rise from deep pits of old
Ground for fear returns a tragic
Shameless Face
Aristotle’s dramatic sinking city
Shakespeare's noblesse - Poe's for
Evermore forgotten love to make
Love to Gibran’s rap on life Come
Together -

Love forsakes Pope - Rousseau
Angelou Jay-Z Snoope Lion and Nas
Diana and Nefertiti –Eve - and
Who else - Sarah will teach tonight
If a smell extinct
Leaves roses
All die with weakness in dry perfume
How will you know? If less gathers
When hair burning in the dark soul
Stirs to fill the air with incense
Shamelessness Speaks in tongues.
