Ptsd Of An Army Wife Poem by shannon wright

Ptsd Of An Army Wife

I wake up and reach for you...
you're not there.

I do my work, meaningless & rote,
I miss you

Evening time comes,
twilight and darkness we usually share

Pillow talk conversations,
Goodnight kiss rituals we usually share

I don't want to go to bed alone,
I miss you

Restless sleep, dream, wake
You’re not there

My world has no meaning
Without you here
