Psyche
I have seen darkness, heartbreak and pain.
Beautiful and Unique I sought joy that I had briefly tasted,
yet loss when I let seeds of doubt and suspicion poison my mind.
Why could I not accept all I had and silence their voices?
Because, to truly love and appreciate who I am and what I had,
I needed to see the truth, no matter what the truth was.
I had to work and brave the unknown and search for it.
It wasn't the reward that formed me, drove me but the journey.
And just when it seemed it would never end.
Love found me and made me whole again.
